Who I Am

I’m Lydia — stationery designer, dog mum, and self-confessed hopeless romantic. I live in the beautiful countryside of rural Perthshire with my cheeky cockapoo, Frank (he’s the real boss around here).

I tied the knot myself in January 2025, so I totally get the whirlwind that is wedding planning — and how the little details, like beautiful stationery, make it all feel real.

When I’m not designing, you’ll find me curled up with a good book, listening to Taylor Swift on repeat, or in the garden.

I believe wedding stationery should feel personal, joyful, and unapologetically you — and I’m here to help bring that vision to life.

How I Got Here

My journey into wedding stationery started in the most personal way — planning my own wedding. As a January 2025 bride, I designed every piece of our stationery myself, from Save the Dates to the tiniest on-the-day details. I loved every moment: the late-night sketching, the colour palette debates, the joy of seeing it all come to life.

With a background in art and design, creativity has always been part of who I am — but it was through that hands-on wedding experience that I realised how much I adore combining design with love stories.

What began as a passion project quickly grew into Wild Thistle Paperie: a space where I could help other couples tell their stories through beautifully crafted, bespoke paper goods.

Now, I work with clients across the UK and beyond, creating stationery that’s not just pretty — it’s personal, meaningful, and made just for them.
